I hope those of you who are celebrating have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Bill is working a 12 hour shift and I'm still recovering from a bad, bad, did I mention bad? drug reaction to Adderall. I'm finally feeling much better tonight though! So no special plans for us...I have a great new book to keep me company, and there is a ton of beautiful snow covering the woods outside my greatroom, so I plan on having a nice quiet day. I may even get adventurous and make some scrambled eggs!

(16,334 posts)Quiet here for the moment. Husband just left to go run a half marathon in 23 degree temp! I am having a cup of coffee before I check my kitchen prep list again. The dog is here snoring. It's my quiet tome before the pigfest rush begins.

(146,218 posts)We will be having our farewell Thanksgiving dinner at a hotel here. Tomorrow, me and my good friend will leave by car for La Paz. On Saturday, DH an his crew (2 women!) will be leaving by boat and meet us there.
Both trips should be really exciting and special. Probably won't have much time or ability to contact you all, but we shall see.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with people you care about and who care about you.

(106,886 posts)14 people around two tables. Family, some old friends, some new friends. Lots of food, obviously, and a lot of laid back table talk. A really fine time.
Amazingly all the to and fro of setting out dishes (everyone brought one; my sister and BIL did the meats, gravies and hosted) went smoothly.
Turkey, ham, roasted veggies, twice baked potatoes, stuffed mushrooms, grilled carrots with allspice?, chilled dill green beans, southwestern black bean & corn salad, stuffing, gravy, tart cranberry sauce, lemon cheesecake, pecan, pumpkin & peanut butter pie, pear torte...
And left overs galore all around!
