OMG!

While trying to rearrange all my travel plans back to the states, I am also trying out my neighbors solar oven with ribs and chicken.

I haven't even thought about what to fix on the side for the 6 people that will be dining here tonight.

I'm cooking them like pot roast and with shallots and Parisienne carrots (frozen from Trader Joe's).

I talked in my very limited way with the butcher and I think they will be fine.

We shall see.

Probably broil the trout with a bit of olive oil and garlic powder on it.

School's over. I just have one final with a student for a make-up exam. There is nothing like the feeling of being out of school!

Tonight I am cooking up some Chinese dumplings for an appetizer. Hoisin sauce is what I'm using for a dipping sauce.

Main course, much later, will be a hamburger on a pretzel roll. Also a tossed salad with avocado in it.

I am also roasting tomatoes tonight!

I made my dandelion tea, too. Next up will be lemon balm tea.

cbayer, it will be wonderful to see your son. I hope you have a fabulous trip!

....with some re-heated croissants.

Today I made an infusion of fresh blossoming lavender and fresh blossoming rosemary to store in the refrigerator and use in hot weather as a spritz. The mint is coming up in a big big way outside. Last year I dried a lot of it.

Busy busy home tasks today. A regular Martha Stewart.
