I bought some excellent head-on shrimp at the Winco today. Decided on shrimp gumbo for dinner tonight. I already made the stock from the heads and peels. I don't have any andouille sausage on hand, but will use some awesome Portuguese sausage (chourico, from New Bedford MA) which I'll use instead.
And you?

(35,660 posts)I'm having a night of my favorite cuisine--Asian. The RG can't be here, but he will be back from his business trip in a few days and we're celebrating at the restaurant with the fabulous NYC skyline view.
For tonight, I'm doing:
--potstickers with hoisin sauce
--sushi
Main dish is cold pork and roasted Poblanos topped with mango/peach salsa.
White wine.
Dessert is dark chocolate with chilis.
And to top it all off, it's a warm night and I'm going skinny dipping.
So there!
