I already scraped a couple of sections of the new flooring, didn't realize I'd need to put pads under the table when I moved it back in, thought it was light enough. I think I can 'buff' them a bit with something like a 'magic eraser' to level them back out a bit, so you can't see the scrapes when light is reflecting off the floor. Also went out and got felt floor footies for the sideboard so I don't repeat that mistake when it goes back into the dining room. The floor looks a hundred times better than the hideous black and white peel and stick 'tiles' the people before us had down. Hard to believe we lived with those so long, but really, if the new dog hadn't started to eat those where they had cracked and were sticking up, we probably still would have them. Hard to update until you have to for other reasons than just 'it's ugly'.

To them, everything in the world is divided into things too big to eat, things I just ate, and things I just threw up, but maybe should eat again?

Going to hear some live jazz and will probably have a glass or two. Then maybe appetizers after.
