I have a similar looking one (GE), but not as up-to-date as yours. I like that center part for cooking with my oval cookware. The RG uses it with the roasting pan when he is making gravy.

Does the center come with an interchangeable grill?

Congratulations! I am sure you're going to be very happy with this.

But like RG, I'd use it to finish off a jus, or gravy still in the roasting pan.

Right now I'm finishing up some bacon, burgers and two fried eggs for our salads.

I bought my new oven to avoid ate my Wok which requires really hot. The other advantage is the oven gets to 550. With a pizza stone, I now make the best Pizza in Tucson. That's not saying much as pizza in Tuson sucks but I found a place that makes their own Mozzerella and it it amazing. Without them I would probably make my own but why bother? Anyway, enjoy!

doesn't spell check the title line. I figured that out a while back, and if I'm not certain of a spelling I'll put that word in the body of the message. Otherwise, anything you type goes through up there.

I miss gas cooking.
have not really checked to see if we can get gas in the kitchen, we do have gas heating.
But that would mean outlay for new stove, which is iffy right now.

Yours is really lovely.

Gas heat, electric stove (and dryer)
We're in a development, builders said "people prefer electric stoves." Nah, just cheaper for them to install. Been cooking on electric all my life so no issue to me, but I know most "real cooks" prefer gas.

A few years back we were going to get a gas stove and found that our gas lines are not big enough to support a gas stove. The cost to replace the lines was prohibitive.

Since lifting improperly can hurt your back.

Nice stove, I wish I had gas available, but thks development is all electric.

Of course I had taken out the drawer, the front door, and all the grates. But if I had to wage a guess Id say no more than 150 lbs without the doors and stuff.

But yes an old wrestling (WWE style) injury reminds me to always lift with my legs.

as well as new fridge and dishwasher, and I keep putting off the purchases because I keep on thinking of other things I'd rather do with my money. Last November I went on a cruise. The stove and fridge still work, and I'm glad I took the cruise.

We have wonderful old old heart of pine wood floors in the original part of the house, but the previous ( 1970s) owner re-model went with some sort of imitation tile for the kitchen and sun room area.
Your wood color is EXACTLY what I like.

Does not hold up well in the kitchen or bathrooms (moisture)....

The area in front of the sink is starting to bulge up.

I'm thinking of tiling the kitchen and bathroom on the first floor.
