What's for Dinner, Wed., Mar. 15, 2017

We had a late lunch at this cozy little tavern the next town over, so we will probably have something light, like soup and salad tonight.

There was a lot of snow shovelled this a.m., so big appetites. First off was a salad, with a tall stack of eggplant/tomato/eggplant/cheese, along with mesclun. Then we had burgers (one lamb, one beef), with salad and also fries. A little wine and a couple lagers.

The eggplant and tomato, while good, had me longing for summer tomatoes and eggplant. And fresh basil, too!

Hope you aren't buried in snow. Freezing cold over here in Western PA.

so funny you should post because I was thinking about you and your wonderful vegetarian menus as I wrote that post!

say, 10 cloves or so for a solo chicken leg. With a mushroom risotto, and roasted Brussels sprouts.

The remaining ju makes a great dipping sauce.
