What's for Dinner, Fri., Mar. 24, 2017

Appetizer is chorizo sausage flavored with a little rosemary, basil, and tarragon and served on crackers.

Then squid salad.

After that the main course, which is lamb meatballs.

I am making chopped salad, and yesterday I got fresh Persian cucumbers and watercress to go in it. I also plan on carrots, tomatoes, celery, shallots, garlic, and red and green pepper. We have a couple new salad dressings to try on it, too. One is ginger-sesame and I also might make some French dressing to go over it.

Off to chop, chop!

TJ is cooking the casserole so I am not sure of the contents. It appears to broccoli, cauliflower, cheese and ??? with bread crumbs on top.

Yep - duck cassoulet, with creamy white beans and sausage. From France, no less.

Foie gras on a baguette. Salad of greens with a vinaigrette (a little extra vinegar to cut all that duck fat - my idea.)

A lot of red vino, too.

Still hanging out in the PHX area. The cassoulet and foie gras were gifts from a fellow colleague in France. I will say, for canned stuff - vive la France!
