I wonder if the people don't want their dog back.

I left two messages at each of the contact numbers on the info on the chip. My vet left two messages at each of those numbers.
No return calls or anything. I did notice that the voicemail answering message on the one number had changed so someone obviously has been on that phone.

If it were me, my answering message would be to say something specifically about the missing pet! I'd be listening to each and every message.

I can't imagine anyone chipping their pet if they would not want it back.

Have you tried calling vets in the area to see if this sounds like a patient of theirs?

Reminds me I need to update chip info on our guys.

Hope you find her home and thanks for taking care of her. She's very lucky.

while owner was away on a trip. Also, agile dogs sometimes escape a boarding kennel.
Just trying to think of reasons you aren't getting a response.
