I have lost two beloved cats in the past few months, it has left
me with kind of a big hole in my heart; I'm sure many of you know
and understand. It is probably too soon and I am utterly impractical
but but but today this happened. Well, it didn't just happen; but today
she came home with me to stay. She is supposedly nine weeks
but seems younger. Not yet named. Have been brainstorming.
She is so tiny.
thank you for your oohs and awws

(118,622 posts)is a toy. To him, the paper garbage in my living room is his own personal toy box. He loves paper or plastic packaging that I throw out. Anything novel in there gets played with. for 48 hours straight. And he carries it from room to room (he follows me) in his mouth. Soo cute. Enjoy!

(18,219 posts)I know just how you feel....missing your cats that you lost, not sure if it is time yet. After my first two were gone, it took a year and a dire situation for me to agree to adopt two more kitties. When I lost them both within two months time, it wasn't a month before I went looking for a new cat. It is always a good time to make a new friend. And you found a cutie.

& congratulations!!

(13,141 posts)which is very close to Tiny. But mainly, P.O.G.O.
She has a nose like Pogo. And she'll be undergoing stealth
training for gathering data

(13,141 posts)As a matter of fact I almost recently fostered a litter of babies..
and I was thinking of who might like a kitten

(3,469 posts)I want a black one, a gray one or a black white mix like Pogo. I know I shouldn't choose based on color but those are my favorite kitty colors.

(13,141 posts)hopefully they have been adopted by now but they were
FIV positive so weren't getting snatched up as quickly
as kittens normally do. This baby is not from that litter.
But if you seriously want a kitten.. often people post
on Craigslist, if you don't want to go through the normal
process with humane society. There will be more and
more kittens needing homes with the warm weather.

(23,973 posts)...for me, it has never been to soon to find another fur baby to love after having to bid farewell to one. I always look at new kitties as successors, never replacements (because of course you can't). It is the only thing that makes me feel any better - it gives the love somewhere to go. Our vet once said that opening your heart and home to a cat who needs you is the best way to honor one you have lost.
She is beautiful, and I wish you many happy years in each others' company.
