100 Horses Stuck On Island Are Rescued By All-Female Team Of Heroes

Although this event dates from 2006, I saw it on FB for the first time this morning. It brought tears to my eyes, but they were tears of joy.

and saw raw video of it around the time it happened. I'd forgotten about it. Thank you for the reminder.

Here's another heroic rescue on horseback. 2011 flooding in Vermont left people trapped in the mountains. When a rescue vehicle couldn't get through a road that had been turned into a river, a horse and rider delivered meds to a trapped woman.
