(16,974 posts)with something in the chamber you are "cleaning", I agree another bullshit story.

(5,417 posts)Some guns (glocks) you are required to pull the trigger to take it apart. I could see how somebody careless could accidentally fire off a round, but you would have to violate multiple rules of firearm handling to do so.

(17,502 posts)You just gave me a good reason to stick to Walther and Ruger, and not bother with Glocks.
Travis_0004
(5,417 posts)There is also a misconception among people not familiar with firearms that if the magazine is out of the gun, it is unloaded. This is not true, so its important to check the chamber (multiple times), and always point it in a safe direction.

"Damnit I've been around guns all my life...I just wasn't paying attention to where the muzzle was pointed."
After another hour of going over the whole incident he did tell me never to buy a Taurus revolver.
He started dating this guys estranged wife 8 or 12 months later....the womans husband pulled off a 1 in a million shot on him while he was driving by one night. Caught him right in the neck....dead. All well...

I too don't believe the cleaning the gun story, this guy was mishandling the gun, I doubt it had anything to do with cleaning it.

Prior to voting, this warning must be read to every Democrat voter:
You are a Democrat voter. You have the right to assisted voting.
If you are too stupid to read ballot instructions, an eighth-grader will be provided to read and explain them to you.
If you cannot figure out the ballot, a fourth-grader will assist you in following the black arrow pointing from your candidate's name to the proper punch-hole choice.
If you are so confused you punch two choices for President, a third-grader will explain how lame you are and get you a fresh ballot.
If you are so feeble you cannot completely punch a hole in a thin card with a sharp object, a first-grader will be available to hit your pin with a Playskool mallet for you.
Should you decline any of the above assistance, you consent to the fact your ballot is final and waive the right to whine, protest or sue in a court of law.

You might want to reconsider the "self-appointed zampolit" schtick, because
speaking frankly, you're not very good at it...

(7,981 posts)I agree the Washington Times and Daily Mail are right-leaning news sources and I'd only use them as a last resort, but to try and compare them with a right wing cesspool like keepandbeararms is a real stretch.

(7,981 posts)but I'm just going to point out the major flaw in your argument. The posts I made with links to right-leaning news sources were posted to display the absurdity of the right wing views. You're attempting to equate those with a post from an anti-Democrat site made to support pro-gun right wing views. Do you see the difference?
