Full article at Reverb PressFlorida Gun Supply store owner Andy Hallinan posted a Youtube video explaining his decision, claiming that by banning Muslims from his story and denying them training, he is protecting his fellow patriots.
Effective immediately, Im declaring Florida Gun Supply as a Muslim-free zone. I will not arm and train those who wish to do harm to my fellow patriots.

We are in battle, patriots, but not only with Islamic extremism, he said. Were also in battle against extreme political correctness that threatens our lives, because if we cant call evil, evil for fear of offending people, then we cant really defeat out enemies.
In addition to barring Muslims from the store, Florida Gun Supply will also offer free conceal carry classes and open its practice shooting range to the public, so citizens can be properly trained to carry daily, Hallinan said.
Our leaders are telling you that Islam is a peaceful religion full of tolerance and love and hope. Dont believe their lies, he said in the video.
He also defended the Confederate flag This flag represents nothing but the rich heritage of the South before issuing his battle against Islam.

May I infer that you:
- don't like that shop owner's beliefs,
- don't like that he sells guns,
- don't like that he may not dislike the NRA and
- but think that he SHOULD sell guns to Muslims?

(23,946 posts)of guns to anyone including Muslims, Christians, Buddhists and whatever religion the NRA is until proper gun control is in place to reduce the violence of 320 million guns in America....but you picked out Muslims...interesting.

(18,482 posts)Sorry about that chief.
Fred....I'm not that kind of guy.
Why?
No, the OP picked an article about Muslims to which you responded. I just asked a question.

(5,790 posts)I have no problems with the sale of any legal product, and I see the NRA as the analog to the ACLU, with the NRA focusing on the 2nd Amendment and the ACLU focusing more on the 1st, 4th, 5th, and 14th.
I think not selling any product to anyone based on their faith or ethnicity is a dangerous and slippery slope.

(23,946 posts)Ban everyone from owning guns until better controls properly funded are in place, religious affiliation is irrelevant, like it says in another part of the Constitution.

(17,502 posts)since I have business in Citrus County. As a life long Wyoming resident, I can't buy any of his guns. Not that I would, I don't do business with assholes.
I found out through the grapevine that some of his employees quit in protest over the video. For his sake, I hope his bound book is in order. There was a guy in New Port Richy who got in trouble with the state over racial discrimination. When the ATF did an inspection on his inventory, his inventory control was less than steller. He has a factory job and living in a very secure gated community.
Ten bucks for a box of .22 shells? WTF.
If you happen to be in his general neighborhood, I highly recommend Stumpknockers

(5,790 posts)That said, especially given the recent Wes Clark comments, I don't think one would have to work too hard to convince many Americans that rounding up Muslims (a la the Japanese in WW II) and throwing them in camps would be a swell idea.

(18,318 posts)Modern motor oil can safely exceed the recommended change frequencies commonly used for older motor oil types. This also applies for "conventional," non-synthetic oils. These extended intervals apply to in-town driving as well as less demanding highway use. Check your auto manufacturer's recommendations, but longer change intervals are good news for the motoring public!

(17,502 posts)do you recommend it for any modern car?
Eleanors38
(18,318 posts)This probably represents closer bearing tolerances which need thinner oil for cold-start lubrication. I'd stick with the blend recommended for the year/make/model of the car, but whatever it is, modern blends should last longer. Improvements in the oil to meet more modern engines are normally reflected in the API rating, which gives increasingly higher "letter" ratings over the years. Modern oil API ratings are inclusive of older ratings with a given oil's blend & weight. So, an oil with a 10-40 API SD rating (years ago and obsolete) is not as long-lived as the newer ratings. I don't know if a 10 - 40 is made with an API SN rating (the latest), but it should last longer and is suitable for older cars with that 10-40 rating. 5w-30 is the most common blend going, currently.
I heard that 40+ year old Corollas needed a heavier blend than was recommended once the car had extensive mileage. How valid that rec. is, I don't know. Some folks I knew were using 10-50 without evident harm. May have calmed down the old pushrod's timing chain!

(8,614 posts)After the first 5000 miles I would recommend going to full synthetic of the proper viscosity. A good oil filter will also help the engine last longer.
