Related: About this forumCan someone help me find a thread?
It was posted a while ago, and I don't remember what forum, unfortunately. It was an article written by a social worker who explained that the meme that black fathers don't want to stay around their children was false, that in fact there was a huge system in place that actively worked to prevent that. The social worker was white, and she discussed a number of issues. I think it might have been around September or October, and probably not earlier than that.
Thanks in advance! Hopefully someone else remembers it, as I don't think I bookmarked it

(3,747 posts)But that is certainly an interesting article. Hopefully it will help to break the idea that black fathers are less involved. In all of this, we really have to remember the system that conspires against them in every way imaginable.

(3,747 posts)Unfortunately, there were a lot of results. I tried a number of different search terms, but even after going through many pages of results I couldn't seem to find what I was looking for.
