My husband has been watching this (DVR'd) it - and he told me he can't figure out if it's 'good anger' or 'bad anger'.

It angered me to be reminded that just about every white character that served as an ally to the Africans were paternalistic and were acting, not out of concern for the wrongness of the institution; but rather, they acted to advance their own agenda. My anger is that I see that still today.

It angered me to be reminded that just about every white character that served as an ally to the Africans, had the Africans' back ... until it would have cost them something ... and then justified it by attempting to convince the Africans that their (the ally's) standing down, was beneficial to the Africans ... in the big picture. My anger is that I see that still today.

It angered me how the only interactions between the white characters and the Africans were either violent or complete dismissiveness. My anger is that I see that still today.
