Related: About this forumMaurice White of Earth Wind and Fire has passed away.
I always wondered what happened to Maurice. Now I know, he had Parkinsons. He is gone now, but I will always remember singing his positive songs, the ones that didn't make the charts, but made me feel good inside. My sister and I had SO many of their albums, including Gratitude, of course. My husband sings "Reasons" to me on occasion. Farewell, Maurice. Turn your face to the wind.

(24,544 posts)RIP Brother Maurice. Creator of one of the funkiest and HAPPIEST freaking musical groups the world has ever seen
Look at the joy and the grins on these people's faces. And I grin with them every time I hear this song.

(8,709 posts)I have no words but only exquisite memories of Mr. White and seeing EWF many times in concert. I'm so grateful. Rest in Peace.
I played "Would You Mind" to death as a teen dreaming of exactly how my future lover(s) would be

Yup, "Would You Mind" was the sexiest song.
