When did they all subscribe? This all just started and I thought that just 3 or 4 of us even responded to the news about DU3.

And the lack of posts amazes me. Don't you guys count the posts in the threads or just the OP? I know we have more than 20 a month. DUGosh has an OP every Sunday about what everyone's reading that week, and it always draws at least 20 people, so that alone would make it over 80 per month.

I don't understand the math and wonder where the 70 people are.

Thanks, Earl.

When Bush was president, I read almost all the posts, also, during the elections, etc., I read many many of the posts and responded a lot.

But since President Obama got in, I don't read the "real" forums as much as I used to because I trust him and don't feel that I need to be spying on everything he or Michelle does. I have confidence in him, in the Vice President, and his staff. This leaves me more time for books

If they do away with Books: FIction, I doubt I will be back very much, and although my contributions are small, small is better than none.

I sense that so many of this group love it and don't understand why they haven't been beating on Skinner's head about leaving us intact.

Thanks again, Earl.

Plus there's obviously going to be a period of changeover. I rather expect the majority of posters on DU have no idea about DU3. I only know about it because someone in a totally different forum posted something.

I read mysteries for fun ...

Used to write quite a bit as a teenager but that was mostly non-fiction. I sold a few pieces (mostly book reviews) to Seventeen magazine back in the early 80s. I guess life interfered with turning writing into a career. At any rate I'm adding this group and writing to my subscriptions and will be lurking

You would be very welcome and quite a few of us read mysteries for fun.

To me this group is a mixture people who read a lot and then there's those of us who read less than them but still enjoy reading a good book or series.

Join us when you can. It's a great group and everyone is nice.
