Seeing J.K. Rowlings on the front page

made me wonder if any here have read her books other than Harry Potter; those written under the name Robert Galbraith or J.K. Rowlings?

If so what do you think. Personally I love the Harry Potter books. She created a whole new world, Potterverse some call it, that has near perfect continuity from the 1st book to the 8th. This is something on the scale of Heinlein's Future History series.

Just finished "Cuckoo's Calling," the first Cormoran Strike story. He is a pretty good character. It's a detective/mystery story. My friend has read the 2nd one & said the 1st is better. When I first saw the book & the other four copies at the library, I didn't realize Galbraith was Rowlings.

The first one was clearly a first novel, or in her case a first adult novel. The second one is a great improvement, and I'm likely to keep on reading that series and any other books she writes.
