7 different players with a rushing attempt, not one below 6 ypc. The two QBs (though one is used as a wildcat) combined for 6 carries, 86 yards, and 1 TD.

SAN FRANCISCO -- The San Francisco 49ers had just piled up a franchise-record 621 yards Sunday, 20 more than their combined total through three games last season.
<snip>
They had become the first team in NFL history to reach 300 yards rushing (311) and 300 yards passing (310) in the same game.
They had produced a 300-yard passer (Alex Smith), a 100-yard rusher (Frank Gore) and two 100-yard receivers (Michael Crabtree and Vernon Davis) in a single 49ers game for the first time since John Brodie (323), C.R. Roberts (107), Aaron Thomas (131) and R.C. Owens (107) did it against Chicago back in 1961.
Amid all this history, the 49ers' left tackle and center sat on the stools before their lockers at Candlestick Park and griped about how penalties wiped out a 21-yard pass to Davis, a 41-yarder to Crabtree and a 14-yard run -- all on drives that failed to produce points for the NFC West co-leaders.
"We could've had 700," left tackle Joe Staley said.

While the passing was certainly impressive, I've seen that before. I was in awe at how Buffalo couldn't stop the 49ers for the short gain even when the 49ers were doing nothing but run. I loved the variations, very imaginative.
I always root against them but I find it hard to hate the 49ers during the Harbaugh era since they play football the right way. While most people would probably find any 45-3 game boring, I enjoyed every second of that game.

(29,322 posts)As a fan of the Cardinals, I suffered through some horrible defenses many years and I still never seen a team put up an offensive performance like that against my team or any team.
When it comes to the 49ers and the way they play, it's not just Buffalo. They are very creative at running the ball, I think they use Walker as kind of like a fullback on some plays to create some interesting run block lanes. They had 186 rush yards against Green Bay, 148 against Detroit, just 89 against Minnesota, 245 against NYJ, then the 300+ this week.
I hate to say it as a Cardinals fan but they are really fun team to watch.

(31,178 posts)They have players who really execute. You mention Walker though they have the option to use Vernon Davis the same way. Their first round picks from a few years back, tackle Anthony Davis and Guard Mike Iupati, have come of age. And they rid themselves of problematic players on the o-line by adding guards Alex Boone and signing the veteran Leonard Davis.
OC Greg Roman did an excellent job of spreading the ball around. Everyone had a touch. There was hardly any pass rush by Buffalo too. I don't think Alex Smith ever had it better.
