Seahawks’ CB Browner faces 1-year suspension

A day after the news that cornerback Walter Thurmond will be suspended for four games because of a second violation of the league’s substance-abuse policy, came word that cornerback Brandon Browner will reportedly be suspended for a year for a violation of the same policy.

Browner was suspended the final four games of the 2012 season for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy, which is separate from the substance-abuse policy. After missing four games, Browner returned to join the Seahawks in the playoffs.
------
The suspensions for both Thurmond and Browner indicate they have violated the league’s drug policy multiple times.

This is the same guy who when questioned last summer what he would do if lined up against Jim Harbaugh, answered, "I'd put my hands around his neck". That was following the 49ers' coach commenting on the trend involving Seattle's PED use.

I still think the Seahawks have the best team in the NFC if not the NFL. Perhaps if they stop losing players they'll have a chance to prove it..

Not a surpise that there's widespread ped use there...probably far more than those who are just getting caught.

Say what you want about Jim Harbaugh, but he's never been accused of running a dirty program..

his tenure...he pretty much got away with it at USC...the school had severe penalties imposed, he got a high paying NFL job.

3. Perhaps if their players weren't taking PEDs they wouldn't have the record they do

Granted the NFL's drug testing policy (like that of the NBA and MLB) is an utter joke, but it says something that so many Seattle players have been caught in the last few years.

I don't want to whine that the only reason the Seahawks are leading the NFC is because of their PED use. It is however now 7 drug suspensions just since 2011, and their star CB Richard Sherman got off last year only on appeal..

Those unfair advantages of PED use.... Ahhh but you have fans who will defend the offender non-stop.
