Browner was suspended the final four games of the 2012 season for violating the leagues performance-enhancing drug policy, which is separate from the substance-abuse policy. After missing four games, Browner returned to join the Seahawks in the playoffs.
------
The suspensions for both Thurmond and Browner indicate they have violated the leagues drug policy multiple times.

This is the same guy who when questioned last summer what he would do if lined up against Jim Harbaugh, answered, "I'd put my hands around his neck". That was following the 49ers' coach commenting on the trend involving Seattle's PED use.
I still think the Seahawks have the best team in the NFC if not the NFL. Perhaps if they stop losing players they'll have a chance to prove it..

(56,177 posts)Not a surpise that there's widespread ped use there...probably far more than those who are just getting caught.

(9,527 posts)Granted the NFL's drug testing policy (like that of the NBA and MLB) is an utter joke, but it says something that so many Seattle players have been caught in the last few years.

(9,709 posts)I don't want to whine that the only reason the Seahawks are leading the NFC is because of their PED use. It is however now 7 drug suspensions just since 2011, and their star CB Richard Sherman got off last year only on appeal..
Those unfair advantages of PED use.... Ahhh but you have fans who will defend the offender non-stop.
