Now that the Indianapolis Colts have defeated the Denver Broncos, the debate concerning whether the Colts made the right decision by moving away from Peyton Manning and to Andrew Luck is over. The Colts made the right decision. In just a few years the Colts were able to beat the Manning led Broncos. In addition, Luck and lived up to and surpassed expectations.

(5,927 posts)Balto must have something in the water because them Ravens have done quite well. But I will never ever be comfortable referring to them as the Indianapolis Colts. Nothing personal, Indy, you're a great place. But Irsay was a fucking asshole for moving a team that was an integral part of the community. Fuck him. Same for the asshole that moved the Browns from Cleveland (now the Ravens); at least he left the Browns brand behind. Not as cruel as what Irsay did to Baltimore. Did I say fuck him? Fuck him.

(29,322 posts)Maybe at first or during Manning's first season w/ Denver but the general consensus seemed to be "good move for everyone involved".
I follow Arizona State I watch a lot of Pac 12 football, 4 or 5 games into Luck's freshman year (who I haven't caught on TV yet) Harbaugh made waves on ESPN declaring Luck the best quarterback in college football where one said, "Even Tebow?" They all dismissed it, how could an inexperienced freshman be better than everyone else? When someone says something unconventional, I pay attention and sure enough I did.
As a freshman he was miles ahead of Matt Barkley & Jake Locker who were the Pac 10s top quarterbacks according to the experts. All I can say is I'm not surprised so I can't say he surpassed mine except to say I didn't quite expect this fast

(29,322 posts)the players--they aren't willing to risk future employment in the NFL only for 1 guy to get a job. The quarterback, he wants to play in the NFL too and this is his best opportunity. They beat the Texans which would have been a setback if their intention was to lay the season down.
