I'm desperate for something on TV, but I never could completely get down with college football either. For starters, there are way too many teams and bowls for me to keep track of, there is less talent than the pros, and the horns blowing during the games are annoying. The only things college football has on the pros IMO are that there is more loyalty from the players towards their teams, and viewers get to watch all sorts of teams every week from across the country (in contrast to the NFL having you limited to teams within your own market during non-primetime regular season games).

I don't follow the Iowa Cubs either. They're a minor league team. So are all the college football teams.

Maybe(!) 4 guys from each team ends up in the NFL. Another 3 end up in the CFL. 7 out of 60 make the NFL.

By definition, this is minor league.
