Ups and downs with her through the years but here she is - beautiful and strong at age 33.

She's playing for the record book now:

1 Germany Steffi Graf 22
2 United States Chris Evert 18
= United States Martina Navratilova 18
= United States Serena Williams 18
5 Australia Margaret Court 11

With a win she will be at #2, behind the best of all time - Steffi Graf.

I'm pulling for her!

Wiki is already updated - 6th Australian Open Title, Total of 19 Grand Slam singles titles is third on the all-time list, and second in the Open Era, behind only Steffi Graf (22 titles). Serena is 33 years old & will turn 34 in September. The reigning queen of tennis.

they keep trying to say, that oh if Maria hadn't had that shoulder surgery...things might have been different. She's a lightweight and NOT going to win another slam. Ugh. I just love the crushing of Serena, one of the greatest in women's tennis, ah, 19 times the greatest.
