Johnny Manziel's ex-girlfriend tells police QB assaulted her

A woman who describes herself as the ex-girlfriend of Johnny Manziel said that Manziel struck her several times and that the Cleveland Browns quarterback appeared as if he “were on some kind of drugs” during their altercation in the Dallas area early Saturday, according to a Fort Worth police report released Thursday.
The NFL issued a statement Thursday that said, “Our review of this incident began when it happened. We are aware of the police report.”
Colleen Crowley and Manziel met earlier that evening while hanging out with a group of friends at the Zaza Hotel in Dallas, according to police. After the group of friends dispersed for the evening, Manziel and Crowley were left alone at the hotel, the report says.
Crowley told police that is when Manziel began to become aggressive toward her. Crowley was adamant to police that Manziel was not intoxicated. She told police that Manziel struck her left ear.
The police report stated that Crowley described the incident at the hotel in vague terms.

I mean, sure the money's good -- especially if you can achieve baby mamahood if not marriage. But is it worth his REALLY losing it and REALLY injuring you along the way?

The Big Lead 2/4/16: Sources told WFAA that on Friday night Crowley and three friends bar-hopped for a few hours before she met Manziel in his room at Hotel ZaZa in Dallas...(T)he two argued...and Crowley tried to leave...Manziel...“restrained” her and “led” her downstairs into the valet area...Crowley (stated in) her account to police...“I was crying and begged the valet, ‘Please don’t let him take me. I’m scared for my life!'” The valet reportedly told her “I don’t know what to do,” and let the pair go...
Manziel then drove her to her car, which was about a half-mile away. She claims she jumped out of the car...but he found her in some bushes nearby...“He grabbed me by my hair and threw me back into the car and got back in himself. He hit me with his open hand on my left ear for jumping out of the car...I could not hear out of that ear...two days later.”
She claims...she hit Manziel a few times in hopes of getting out of the car (and) yelled, “I hate you!” ...He responded that he was going to drop her off, take his car and go kill himself. Once they reached her apartment, the fighting continued and he smashed her phone. She attempted to call her parents using her computer, and when Manziel....saw she had done that, she grabbed a knife from the kitchen to protect herself. He finally fled on foot and Crowley banged on a neighbor’s door for help.
Manziel then drove her to her car, which was about a half-mile away. The Big Lead 2/5/16: A Tarrant County judge (has) granted (Crowley) a protective order against Johnny Manziel...The police have declined to charge Manziel, but this is a different standard of proof...
Perhaps Manziel should take out a similar order against her -- sounds like she isn't any better at staying away from him than he is at staying away from her.

Defense attorney Bob Hinton's text indicated....that he had...met with...the Dallas County District Attorney's Office...(They are)..."very interested in working with us to arrive at some agreement" in the case, he wrote...The text shows that Manziel's attorneys are pushing for leniency, even as they grapple with indications he could still be struggling with substance abuse more than a year after his stay in a rehab center...A spokeswoman for the DA's office did not comment...

Well, he can kiss the plea deal goodbye. And unsolicited non-anonymous information you are sent, even in error, is your property, especially if you're a reporter. This lawyer really IS incompetent!
