Damn Yankees sew up Aroldis Chapman

$86 million over 5 years.

Chapman is a proven closer. I'm wondering how Gary Sanchez is going to perform at the plate in 2017. He set lofty expectations based on his 53 games this season.

it was expected to be short-lived.

I guess the Yankees made out on that deal. They got the Cubs top-rated prospect for Chapman in July, plus three others, then get him back five months later.

As a catcher, even if he can't produce at the plate like he has been (which would be next to impossible to do), he'll still be pretty good.
