NY Giants release Victor Cruz and Rashad Jennings, according to report cited by ESPN

Both guys have had their injury problems, particularly Cruz. I'm sure both will land with another team, but maybe as back-ups. The emergence of Sterling Shepard helped make Cruz expendable. Not sure who the Giants will turn to in the backfield, maybe they plan to sign a free-agent RB?

Such talent and because of that injury, he'll never be that electrifying receiver he once was. Watching him get into the endzone was always a treat. And I'm an Eagles fan.

But the Giants have always had a knack for finding fantastic receivers. And Shepherd will grow to become a top 10 receiver, I'm sure. If only their run game could be duplicated. Eli needs a solid RB so he's not always having to sling the ball.

Put together over a thousand yards receiving 2 seasons in a row and missed a third by 2 yards. Injury came the year after that.
