I've had a realization.

For a long time now I've thought of myself as an atheist.

But today I realized...

Doctor Who is my religion!

1. I'm in a hotel room with very limited TV.

I just watched a weird show about alien abductions and how some people believe that aliens are really gods and have been historically considered gods.

To top it off, it was in Spanish, lol.

5. I'm in a house with expanded cable TV.

I just watched a weird show about zombies and how some people believe that one zombie in particular was the son of a god who came back to life after he was killed and an entire major religion sprouted from that.

To top it off, it was in English, lol.




Funny how you scoff and mock some for their beliefs, but not others.

2. I love the fact that he shies away from guns

and points to his head as the location of his weapon.

I've been watching bits an pieces. The show interviewing the early doctors was great, although it's a little jarring to see Tom Baker with white hair. Otherwise, he looked much the same.

3. The entertainment industry does religion more attractively than the churches, that's all.

Ever since that young lady explained the hurricane as a 'disturbance in the force' I accept this new reality.
I'm sure you grant the "Gravity" of my remark.

4. The Day of the Doctor

was certainly awe inspiring.
Who could not be warmed by the resurrection of a certain Doctor at the end.

"The Doctor will save us".

6. So a Whovian answers the door to a Jehovah's Witness . . .

and says, "Yeah, come back and talk to me after your Son of God comes back from the dead another 11 times."
