A police report obtained by CNN revealed that Loibl lost 50 pounds, had an eye surgery and hair implants as he wants to impress Grimmie. He also spent most of his time monitoring the singer on her social media accounts and he constantly watches her sing on YouTube.

“Loibl never elaborated on what he would do if he met Christina, but he referred to her as his ‘soulmate,’” Loibl’s friend, Cory Dennington, told the police.

Dennington also claimed that Loibl was an “atheist” but Grimmie’s Christian faith changed his friend’s perception about the world. He said Kevin once told him “if God did exist, he has seen it in [Grimmie].”

Before Loibl ruthlessly murdered Grimmie, law enforcement was called to his home address twice, as per TMZ.com.
