(Liberal) Pastors protest Hobby Lobby on morning-after pill

Hobby Lobby just told them to go away evidently.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Christian activists attempted Thursday to deliver a petition to Hobby Lobby criticizing its challenge to a portion of the new federal health care law, but guards at the company's headquarters turned them away.

"I thought they'd let me drop off the package," said the Rev. Lance Schmitz, pastor of the Capitol Hill Church of the Nazarene in Oklahoma City.

Schmitz said more than 80,000 people had signed copies of a petition circulated nationwide by Faithful America, an online Christian group, and UltraViolet, which promotes women's rights. Schmitz said he intends to mail the petition to the company.

Lawyers representing Hobby Lobby this month sued the federal government claiming it should not be forced to provide workers with health insurance that covers the morning-after and week-after pills. Some say the drug's ability to prevent a fertilized egg from implanting in a woman's womb is tantamount to abortion.

Hobby Lobby operates 500 arts and crafts stores in 41 states. Its Christian owners allege in the lawsuit that providing coverage for certain medications violates their "deeply held religious beliefs."

Hobby Lobby used to be one of my favorite crafting supplies stores. Oh well. Michaels will have to do until I can find something better. Does anyone know anything about AC Moore?

Looks like they have a lot of arts and crafts supplies. I don't know anything about their politics, though.

Killed the little guys, brings in cheap junk from China. I remember when they were one building down on tenth street.

I know someone who works at their factory/warehouse here and says their health plan is a COMPANY DOCTOR!? One guy they all get to go to who is employed by the company. How medieval.

David Green (the founder) is a jerkoff.

injuries?

Lots of companies have contracts with a worker's comp doctor and anyone injured at work has to go to them first.

I have never heard of a company having a single physician for other reasons and would suspect that it is not a real insurance plan if that is the case.

But they swear that when they wanted treatment and not for anything to do with work they were sent to a company sanctioned doctor. They were told that was their health plan.

I have to admit to getting the story second hand from my wife. We both knew the person involved but I have not had any way to personally verify the story.

Ever notice how the "liberally-biased media" always focus on the extremes when they cover a "Gay Pride" parade?

Like the 400 lb full beard and mustache trucker type wearing a ballet tutu?

Gave me an idea ...

Places like Chik-fil-a and Hobby Lobby and such really need to soften their image as hating gays ...

So I would suggest that a lot of "ugly" (or just uglifying a few) "gays" (don't actually have to be gay in real life) dress up in their wildest outfits and stand at the front doors of places with a sign saying "I'm GAY, and I support X!" ... not blocking their doors, but being really nice and opening the doors for the customers ...
