Request for my mother & father.

Prayer holds little meaning for me outside of a contemplative meditation. For my parents who do both consider themselves to be Christians, it is a powerful force in their lives.

I shared with them that I had made a post in the Interfaith forums here at DU and that many had offered prayers, thoughts, and very kind words. That touched them deeply.

My father is still in very critical condition in the ICU. He is stable, however, the bleeding has started again in the ulcer. The first clamping did not stop it. They will try it again. If it does not, then he will need to undergo a more intensive surgical procedure. At his age and with his other health issues, this becomes a difficult proposition.

It would mean a great deal to them knowing that other believers of all types of religions were holding them in their thoughts and offering healing prayers during this difficult time. Therefore it would mean a great deal to me if those here that I respect who do more closely share their belief system would offer up prayers on their behalf. I will share with them that they are a now a part of a prayer circle here as well as at their own local church.

Thank you everyone.

Lord sustain the parents of TM99 as they are in a difficult moment in their lives. Give them the strength to deal with their troubles and illnesses. Heal the souls of your servents and grant them peaceful days for the rest if their lives. Give strength to their family and friends as they worry and wonder what comes next Lord. I ask this in Your Holy Name. Amen.

Lady of healing, look with compassion on TM99's mother and father. Grant, we pray, that they may yet have happy years with each other and with their children. We give thanks for the skill, wisdom and discernment of the physicians, nurses and technicians to whose care hTM99's father is entrusted. Be with them as they work to restore him to his family. Be with him for strength as he undergoes stressful treatments and let him rest in the knowledge that his family loves him now and forever.

Let it be so.
For all our relations
