Romney down 46% in CO, 69% in MN, and 63% in MO from his 2008 vote totals.

COLORADO
Romney-08: 42,218
Romney-12: 22,875
(-46%, -19,343 votes)

MINNESOTA
Romney-08: 25,990
Romney-12: 8,090
(-69%, -17,900 votes)

MISSOURI
Romney-08: 172,329
Romney-12: 63,826
(-63%, -108,503 votes)

Voters are clearly turned off by his clear-the-field, money-bomb, Bain-style campaign tactics. He's trying to do a leveraged buyout of the presidency and the people see through it. If Romney tries to do to Santorum what he did to Gingrich, evangelical voters will be enraged.

The only non-Mormon Protestant Christian left is Ron Paul, but evangelicals are not going to vote for him, for obvious reasons.

Santorum carries all the social conservatism they crave without the personal baggage.
