coattails

brag you are going to win, and win states you aren't expected to

then win the house and the senate big time

Don't be timid, shout it from the roof. Americans love to tag along with winners
(how many non-Dallas living fans love the Cowboys or non-NYers root for the Yankees because they are winners? (not me, but there are millions of fake fans.)

Every additional vote is another congress race being won.

... without a serious turnout on our side, we may get enough votes to beat Romney, but not Diebold.

That voter enthusiasm was seen in 2008 but not in 2010. It is happening in 2012.

Even though Obama's presence is not the same here as in 2008 the enthusiasm is still there with people enthusiastic with other races just as critical. What happens at the state and local level helps Obama in our state too imo.

nobody wastes time on a loser, people flock to the winner

Obama is great. Yell it from the rooftops

the more you say he will win, the less Romney voters will bother(especially in states where the senate outcome is known.

Never be timid to say we won.

This is not 2004 where we need to feel ashamed of our candidate. We are voting for Obama not voting against someone else.

We have one of the best presidents ever running for reelection, and his fans can't wait to vote, and many are already voting early (and incidentals say that early voters are heavily democratic)

(It is like in baseball, when the 1st place team gets sell out after sell out even after the fans know they are going to the playoffs. The fever to be there, to do it grows and grows and grows.
The republicans have nothing. They hate their candidates and the big money is pulling out already.

Run up the score. The bigger the mandate the easier to get big stuff happening 2013 without interference.

and 2000 was done by the Bush family.
That same family that will try to be president in 2016 once Mittens/Ryan are thoroughly repudiated.
That was not the case in 2000.

So the powers behind the supposed theft of 2000 need Romney to lose in 2012 so Jeb can run in 2016.That is the secret why theft won't occur this time.
No one wants Romney/Ryan to win, ESPECIALLY the Bush republicans.

and I have been around too.

If Jeb were running in 2012, I would be more scared of it. But he isn't. And if Mitt/Ryan win, then the presidency is tied up for years on the republican side, so Jeb would not have an opening. Why would the Bush family sabatoge themselves? (why? They wouldn't, assuming the worse of the worse that they stole 2000 in a preplanned action.)

(i.e. to go back to an old phrase I used to always use-
if the fix is in
and Bush=fix
then you need a bush in 2012 to have the want for a fix in 2012.

In 2010 Dems were behind in a lot of polls and that did not help, there was a depressed turnout. You don't want to get cocky but you do want to feel good about where your candidates are.

I think Democrats tend to respond better to positive vibes than negative. We often just give up when things dont seem to be going our way but get exicted and "fired up" when it appears we might actually win.

since the convention and Obama's sustained bounce in the polls it appears that Dems have overtaken the GOP on enthusiasm and wanting to vote, so I think that is a good thing and hope it continues.

On the other hand, everybody wants to hang out with the winners in life, and it could prompt some of the politically ignorant to vote for the poll leader for no other reason.

A snowballing copy-cat vote could cost Romney dearly because no one likes admitting they voted for a loser. I know, because four years ago several friends I strongly suspect voted for McCain suddenly changed their tune the day after the election.

I predict the lopsided polls are why we'll see fewer and fewer Romney bumper stickers in weeks to come.
