2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumRemember, these two don't hate each other. Their supporters shouldn't hate each other.
Nor should their supporters personally attack the candidates and try to smear them. It's unbecoming of the Democratic Party.

(23,664 posts)I don't "hate" Clinton herself, I just think she is patently unsuited to be POTUS.

(23,664 posts)I hope that isn't true. Hate is a destructive emotion, and she isn't worth getting upset about.

(45,851 posts)In fact Sanders dominates polling up to 45 years old, it's only the old fossils like me who are pro Clinton. In four more years she will be even more unpopular with that cohort and they will be four years older.
A recipe for a huge Democratic drubbing in 2020. Sanders might do it too but he at least starts off in positive territory with the yute.

(62,270 posts)This was a great debate. They did a good job of getting things out, letting the voters know more about their differences, and they set and example for all of their supporters. People can actually have differences and still get along with each other!

(5,275 posts)I don't hate Hillary supporters, I just think they tend to be some combo of misguided and wrong. Or just want to vote for a Clinton.
We need to go hard after economic inequality and reign in Wall Street, we need to slash our ridiculous defense spending and stop this perpetual war situation. Hillary will not tackle this meaningfully, she is too deep in with both, financially and otherwise.

I'll be happy to vote for either one of them. I love Bernie best of all but I would be very happy to see a President Hillary Clinton, too.
