Hammers and Nails; and what Rainbows are made of...

I'm just now getting to watch tonights debate.

My sense 15 minutes in is this:

Hillary thinks this is about a perosnal attack, and I thinks its not. Bernie Sanders is not attacking Hillary, he's attacking THE SYSTEM that Hillary has spent her adult life and career mastering.
One of the things that Hillary Clinton has learned to master is how to handle a baseless and unfounded (generally from idiot hater republicans) perosnal attack. I give her much credit--most anyone else would be sitting in a corner crying, and she stands tall---ALWAYS. But when your only tool is a hammer, EVERYTHING looks like a nail. So her response to this critique of THE SYSTEM is to treat it like an attack on her Person, and respond as anyone else would (and again, I dont blame her). I think while this has largely gone unsaid in our Primary dialouge this cycle, she's making the mistake of not distinguishing between the impersonal Objective, and the VERY personal Subjective. I can't believe that her Campaign staff doesnt see what is happening, and respond accordingly.

I very much understand her objection that a President Sanders wouldnt get a damned thing done. That's because Bernie isn't adequetly expressing what his Vision really is--a political system returned to the Will of the People will take more than one election, it will take Publicly-funded elections and election day as a National Holiday just to name the first 2, and THOSE would likley require a Congressional makeup more liberal than anything thats existed at least since the death of JFK. I think he's not articulating exactly how large and complex this puzzle really is (cause its pretty fucking huge and pretty fucking complicated). I can read between the lines, and I do know how much of a challenge it will be. Maybe what Hillary would describe correctly as rainbows really is that. And while rainbows are sure-as-shit REAL, you don't EVER get them with out Sunlight. SUNLIGHT is what Sen. Sanders is really talking about here, I think.
