Hillary vs. Bernie: Who would face more obstructionism if elected?

I find this a very difficult question to answer.

I can certainly envision a Clinton presidency within which, not unlike what happened with Obama, the Republicans went into full escalation mode, trying to outbid each other in their levels of dirt slung her way. With Bernie I find it harder to picture, simply because he is not as much part of the entrenched fronts.

I could certainly see Bernie having a harder time getting the Democrats to fall in line though.

Take your pick - I think it would be about the same. The tenor would be different. With Sanders it would be more pure obstructionism like we see now. With Clinton it would be made-up scandal after made-up scandal, perhaps with a little impeachment talk tossed in for flavor. Anyone who came close to working with either of these folks would be primaried from the right, just like we see now.

That's why to me it's not about which person would/could work better with the Rs but rather which person would carry more down-ticket races on his/her coattails. The bottom line is that real progress is not going to be made until these neanderthals on the far right are either cleaned out or properly marginalized.

Hillary's presidency would be one giant cluster fuck of a Benghazi hearing.
No thank you.

He would have a harder time simply because of his goals.

Hillary would have a hard time, not because she wanted to pass something meaningful, but just because they don't like her.

Bernie would have an easier time under similar circumstances.

And would make even more of a sport out of obfuscating, blocking, trashing her. There would be speech after speech on the floor about all her scandals. And they would be vociferously supported by their base and probably get more campaign donations.
