I would like to know how the candidates plan to increase federal funding for public schools. I also want to hear them explain what they will do to make sure the money doesn't get sucked into some voucher scam, bizarre charter school, etc.

.

Sitting back and doing nothing hasn't worked for 30 years in this area.

Then, we have these charter schools, which mostly fleece school districts and states, while not allowing an apples-to-apples comparison on education until certain milestone years. By the time systemic problems are detected, those batches of children will be damaged even further. As money is pulled from public schools, for charters, taking only the desirable students, the public schools sink further.

There needs to be regeneration of the communities, to bring everyone's standard of knowledge, standard of living, up to speed. Many parents must work and have latch key children who return to an empty house, their exposure to social media and their other peers destabilize the efforts of the parents further.

Of course, without going into a 30 page dissertation on this topic, I have left out many topics and many points.

(1) a fail allocation of funds for the public schools and (2) keep the management totally under local governments , with support from the Federal Government. That means stop running the public schools out of business stop supporting the private school movement,
a trend that is largely responsible for the current demise of the public school. If parents want to indoctrinate their children with
philosophies that are out of the mainstream of conventional knowledge, do it outside of the daily public school schedule. Allow professional administrators and teachers to do what they do best, teach basic knowledge and skills outlined in their planned curriculum.

THOSE schools should have decent teachers, curriculums and facilities ...

No candidate has addressed these issues at the national level in this campaign ...

Given that, let's move towards using a basic college education to ALL students, regardless of wealth or income ... (yes, even TRUMPS kids ... )

We need to deal with this problem rationally, after years of degradation and neglect ..

I have a strong feeling that the money that SHOULD have been used to maintain decent schools is parked offshore ...

Friends of Hillary, I believe ...
