2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumJust so there's no funny business
perpetrated by media, polls, electronic voting, etc. I think there ought to be people (citizens) assigned to record and photograph events. And later I think there ought to be citizens who assign themselves to do exit polls. I do not trust the media, the polls, or the electronic voting system. We need organized 'work-arounds'.
The video of a huge crowd of citizens arriving for a Bernie Sanders event in Minnesota was powerful. And I recall how the huge protests by people against going into Iraq was minimized, under covered with little photographic evidence.

(2,388 posts)I'm a Democrat and have been talking about the electronic voting system for years.
I'm also suspicious of polling companies. If only the Democrats had used their
power when they had it to address these concerns in Congress, I wouldn't still be
talking about it.
I do think that ALL citizens, regardless of their party affiliation should be deeply concerned.

(10,622 posts)They (R)s claim that non citizens vote, dead people vote, and people vote multiple times. A problem that does not exist. Election fraud on the other hand is well documented, machines flipping votes (documented), machines hacked in seconds to show how easy it is and so on, it is a real problem.
Not to mention the fraud just documented in the recent caucus where a Bernie vote was switched to a Hillary vote after it got to the regional office, something everyone agrees happened.
Stop lying please.
