bears repeating: how does the ruling elite maintain its grip on power? many tactics

but one of the best is to foment discord among members of the subordinate class along religious, racial, and ethnic lines. Keeps the focus off the real culprit(s).

as some have already posted, that seems to be what's occurring today. Hillary's surrogates are trying to drive a wedge between blacks and whites; we're in this together, we sink or swim together; and meantime, the elites are getting wealthier and solidifying their grip as we post

Just observing all of this, I feel strangely calm. I think this is the last gasp of the ruling elite, the curtain gets pulled back a little more each day and exposes them for what they are.

I think we all knew they'd attack Bernie viciously, and use the rest of us as pawns to divide and conquer.

I am hopeful it doesn't work this time.

But will cost them the general election. Also feels like Democrats are in a huge bubble on the FBI situation.

There is no way Clinton is exciting a broad base but Sanders is. Any excuse for not giving Sanders an even playing field and letting the people decide will reveal their lack of support for democratic ideals.
McGovern got tossed to the wolves because he wasn't "party approved"
Obama's OFA got told to "Chill Out, I got this!" Why didn't the "party use that energy to grow the party and build a big ol 50 state ground game that was working 24/7/365 to build the support to make the "change we can believe in"?
If the party has the honest belief in a better world they will accept and support Sanders with all of the energy of Ms Clinton.
To the party, I am nothing but if they want to survive they need to get out of the bubble and see what life is like in the rest of the world. More and more of us don't buy the bullshit anymore (if we ever did)
