Too often the critic thinks they are right merely because they are being negative.

(21,211 posts)And running for re-election. I could not imagine rarely having down time. The guy is doing something everyday. Rmoney takes weekends off at one of his vacation homes. No wonder he wasn't on his game for the debate. I could never walk in President Obama's shoes even for one day.

Right wingers are stubborn. They will stand behind their candidate no matter what. Of course if we did that, it would help. But even so, it's is not over until the ballots are counted.

(7,968 posts)For some of us it wasn't really such a huge surprise. A few points perhaps but all and all when we saw the debate start to unfold we realized that Obama was playing "prevent" and this is a strategy that he often goes to actually. He used it at several points in the McCain debate series. It worked better then but mark my words - this story's ending has not yet been written.
