Morning Consult National: Hillary 46 (-4) Bernie 39 (+2)

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/269228-poll-sanders-within-7-points-of-clinton-nationwide

Interesting nugget:

(Sanders) has a 78 percent favorability rating, contrasted with Clinton’s 75 percent. Sanders’s score makes him the only White House hopeful from either political party viewed favorably by a majority of voters, Morning Consult added.

if the polls didn't tighten after NH.

On the other hand, I'm not sure either candidate can feel good about this poll. The fact that it's close is good for Bernie, but being under 40% with Democratic voters isn't really a good thing. And Hillary can't be happy about dipping <50%.

I just don't think a poll with 25% undecided means a lot either way.

I'd take this as a good sign if I were him. Plus a 7 point difference between the candidates is by far the closest it's been with this pollster.

The only meaningful polls are statewide polls because that is how we elect our presidents. And although one can get a glimmer of how things are sorting out from a national poll, such a thing is utterly meaningless spin this far out.
