A lot of them are all fired up to vote for Bernie. Or, on the other side, to vote for Trump. They certainly have no time for what they view as the party establishment on either side, but that's understandable given the fruits of that establishment to date.

from reading an article in this morning paper about the debate last night I get it that Hillary came off the rails. Whats the deal with her anyway. Has no desire to debate issues rather she'd focused on personal attacks only. She's berning bridges faster this time than she did the last time. I guess a President Sanders won't be having her in his cabinet anyway and it seems she feels that too.

We're supposed to take their "liberal on social issues" and sit down and shut up. If we don't the Republicans will win and we won't even get that. That's the message of the current establishment Democratic Party.

It's been a long time since we've had a good progressive candidate in the primaries .....since Jesse Jackson in the 1980s. Although the Democratic establishment circled their wagons during his second run, to prevent him from getting on the ticket, we at least had a spokesperson.

But as disappointing as the issues you make note of in the OP are, I believe we are witnessing a reprise with the Bernie Sanders movement. Now, we are also seeing a circling of those wagons, with establishment endorsements, and the media attempting to portray Bernie's raising his hand to signal to the moderators that he wanted to respond to Hillary's statements as his "Howard Dean scream." And it will get worse, much worse, in the weeks to come.

Recommended.

Because the mainstream democrats were banging the war drums and it felt like a safe space for me amid the calls for more blood.

It was a different place, where finding a Kissinger booster was a tough sell.

Now what once made me feel so underground is the front runner.

How does that saying go. "As above, so below."
