In what bizarro world does "Let's Unite" = "Be silent!"

When 99% of the people are struggling to hold on to even 40% of the wealth and resources in the country, is it wrong to recognize that we need to ally with each other in order to regain some of what is being stolen from us? From our children and their children?

it in a few threads. Expressing disagreement about methods for achieving our common goals not silencing. Quite the contrary. It is discussion.

Please note that closing one's mind to claims that others have the same goals is a form of silencing. None are so deaf as those who refuse to hear. So to speak.

By saying "we should unite and not let the other side divide us by race, religion, sexual orientation, etc." they are saying "Don't stand up for issues SPECIFIC to race, religion, sexual orientation, etc."

But to take it that way represents near pathological paranoia in my mind.

silencing thing is about the usual far-left inability to accept commonality with others and frustration over Bernie's relative lack of support among "minorities"? Don't bother to answer, though. I can always go back and read what lead up to this "silencing" meme (but won't).

Takes legislation. Cannot fix racism but we can legislate against some effects of it. Like we did with the civil rights act. Will take many years but it has to be started on now. Get a dialog going I think she cAn at least do that.

Feb 2016

THAT is how racism will die? Are you serious?

Can you be a little more specific? I mean, this is not a minor issue for you, I know. So you must have given it a LOT of thought.

Please share with me your specific ideas for legislation (ideas only are fine!) you expect from Hillary but not from Bernie that will contribute to the lessening of racism.

I'm frankly just surprised that you you don't attach any value to providing more income equity to oppressed people as being an important factor in easing the "effects of racism" but you bring up voting rights as something that would.

Weird.

Bernie talks to black people one on one too. But you know that.

Anyway, what ideas for legislation do you have? Besides the whole "she talks to us one on one" thing.

I know you've had a lot of time to think about this, so I'm pumped to hear these ideas that show how Hillary will defeat racism in ways Bernie won't.

So far we have:

-Some vague thing about voting rights
-Some vague thing about community outreach
-Some vaguer thing about executive order

And last but not least, "the talking to us one by one" thing.

I can see why you are so behind her now.

Community outreach? Sanders actually has a plan for that.

That's heartwarming but pretty fucking laughable at the same time.
