what's occurring:

Clinton and her campaign and surrogates have been advised to try to shift the focus off of Hillary's:

--lies,
--corruption,
--speaking fees from big pharma, wall street, health insurers (now suddenly medicare for all is no we can't)
--devastatingly bad policy of mass incarceration,
---ties to private prison lobby,
---cutting welfare benefits,
---discriminatory drug sentencing and laws,
---sadistic attitude toward refugee children at the border,
---senate votes for a border fence to keep out "illegal immigrants"
---racist conduct toward Obama in 2008
---promotion of NAFTA, China's admission to WTO
---early (and surely later) support for TPP
---disastrously bad ME bungling leading to chaos in Libya and Syria and strengthening of ISIS
---selling arms to Saudi Arabia, etc. as they donated to Clinton found
---allowing Russia to control significant US uranium stores, in xchange for donations
---etc.......including her TOTAL absence of ANY agenda...just hot air platitudes (except when she appropriated Bernie's agenda in her manic "concession" speech in NG

(this is by no means an exhaustive list of her terrible track record)

they are trying to swiftboat Bernie and shift the focus to make Bernie the target of unjustified criticism; they are trying to ridicule his policies and agenda, denigrate his accomplishments, appropriate the most salient parts of his program and call them theirs, etc.

imho, it seems that we, on this board, are spending a lot of pixels debating minor issues and possibly losing sight of the big goal which is broadcasting loudly and clearly Bernie's plan, how it benefits voters, how it's accomplished, and most of all how Hillary is the antithesis of a representative for the middle and working class and has committed major ethical breaches

not trying to sound critical of anyone, just offering my .02

now that Bernie is the essential front runner, this is a critical moment in the campaign and the opposition knows this, too

maybe we need to use some big guns, too?

It's a GOP tactic, don't attack your opponent's weakness, attack their strength (especially if it's YOUR weakness). It's obvious what's going on, and I'm a little perplexed over the myriad of posts about the damn photo. We have to keep our eye on the ball and not let such an absurdity distract us, which is exactly what they want. They want us to start doubting Bernie.

I don't doubt Bernie, his record and the way he's conducted himself with integrity stand on their own.

John Kerry didn't stomp the Swiftboating flat quickly and now we have a new verb.
