And I'm not talking about John Lewis. That dude owes nobody anything. We are in his debt.
I'm talking about a certain editorial board member of the Washington Post. He needs to own his deed and make amends for, at minimum, some damn shoddy journalism.
What about it, Jonathan? Time to tweet a big apology @capehartj. Your reputation depends on it.

(9,086 posts)Highly unprofessional. Downright childish behavior. Shameless shilling.
And then the MSM wonders why people don't respect or trust them.
Edit: I'm talking about Capehart, in case there was any doubt

(1,835 posts)I didn't know that. It compounds his "error."
I'm starting to think he should be suspended, like Mike Wise was a few years ago.

He should have listed some of the great things Sanders has done. The fact that he did not take this opportunity to praise Sanders shows that he is still doing the ugly thing. He has had time to put together a thoughtful response and he FAILED.

(12,151 posts)Capehart is on the editorial board, and they've been pushing against Sanders full throttle. They've just established the Post is willing to lie to push its editorial view and ought to be eager to pull out the dent in the paper's reputation Capehart's little caper has caused.

(45,319 posts)after 'reporting' the story. Why is he permitted to carry on like that? Forget about his creepy Twitter persona, forget his general contempt for reader and subject alike. Why do his employers not require him to fact check even in any basic way, such as calling the photographer who made the photo you are constructing a big stink about?
This world is full of talented and ethical reporters and journalists and even pundits with principles, there is no reason on Earth that a reckless and thoughtless hack should have that position.
