Massachusetts Latino leaders to back Bernie Sanders' Democratic presidential campaign
SPRINGFIELD ‒ U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders', I-Vt., Democratic presidential bid will pick up support from Massachusetts Latino leaders this week, campaign officials announced Tuesday.
A coalition of Latino community leaders is expected to endorse the Vermont senator, who recently won the New Hampshire Democratic presidential primary, during a Wednesday morning news conference at the State House in Boston.
The event, Sanders' campaign said, will kick-off "Massachusetts Latinos for Bernie," a grassroots organizing effort that aims to reach Latino and Spanish-speaking voters across the state.
