Related: About this forumCheck this OUT! Bernie Brings Out The Crowds in Kansas & Nebraska! Unbelievable!
Manhattan, KS caucus update Berners have taken up most of the floor are all of the way to other side of the wall!
Just a few samples of what is going on in Kansas and Nebraska today!
Did someone say 'will those huge crowds translate into VOTES?
Looks like the answer is yes!
Can't even find Hillary's supporters.
THIS is why they are trying to END the election after the seven Southern states where the turnout was dismal because they KNOW that from now on, this election will go to Bernie.

(99,070 posts)In Sarpy County Nebraska the caucus was to start at 2. You had to be in line by 2:10 PM. I know 40-50 were turned away just at my location. There were 3 in Sarpy County. This is a published state caucus rule that covered it.
I was there. I know.

(23,156 posts)Not a great big huge mega church. We started lining up an hour or so before the doors opened, and after a while the pastor of the church came by and said it could only hold 300 people and the rest of us needed to leave. We explained politely that it didn't work that way. In the end, they let people in in groups of 300, divided up into groups, counted, then let the next batch in. The doors were opened at about 6, and the entire thing wasn't over until after 11pm.
At the place where my son and some other friends caucused today, the crowd was so huge the Bernie supporters wound up outside to be counted. The final tally at that location was Sanders 944, Clinton 488. At least one other caucus location had over 4,000 people, I'm told. These are in Johnson Country, KS, by the way.
sabrina 1
(62,325 posts)Thanks for your post. I don't think they could turn people away. This isn't a third world dictatorship, yet.
But 4000 people! Bernie IS exciting the voters, we knew this. But the DNC is trying to hide this fact, focusing on those seven states.
MuseRider
(34,058 posts)that if you were on line at 3:00 you got in. That is why we ran so late the line was still long at 3, well that and the fact that they ran out of all the paperwork! We did not mind waiting for that!
Anyone who showed up after 3:00 was supposed to be turned away so the process could get started. I don't know what they actually did, perhaps since they had to wait for paperwork they may have let them in. I was not moving, the Bernie side was on overflow and I wanted to stay in my place!
This was the best handled caucus I have ever attended. They had tons of help and when it came to counting it was all done with hands raised so our armbands could be seen. They counted in their sections then they traded sections and all Bernie people got counted by both Bernie people and Hillary people and then they huddled. If there was a mismatch they counted again. It took a while but was very open and up front.

Looks like we need a thorough investigation if she wins any of these districts this way.
Editing here as I see they both have absentee ballots. But look at how many Hillary has. Easy to cheat that way.
I am thoroughly disgusted our system is totally corrupted.
As for the results, I don't know when but apparently each state is different. Watching for news of that right now.

sabrina 1
(62,325 posts)Nothing would surprise me. But with the turnout as big as it is, they will have a hard time overcoming it. However it might help her with delegates.
Should be a review of those absentee ballots. Seems strange to me especially with the Corp Media 'hoping' she can pull it off this way.

It was a loud, raucous crowd for Bernie. They would yell, kinda yell, "Hil-Lar-Ry" and we would yell "He's with us". It was so loud I had to turn my hearing aids off. Fun times unlikely to happen again in Kansas in my lifetime.

(62,325 posts)not gone unnoticed as we all remember when she said she MIGHT consider Obama as her VP when in fact it was clear she was by then, losing.
i like to remember these things. She's doing it again, so to me it is a good sign. She KNOWS what's coming, she does well only with Blue Dogs and Conservo Dems and those states are almost all over. Things going to be uphill for Bernie from now on.
So expect Hillary to declare victory often from now on.

Bernie brings out the crowds and when that happens, HE wins. Low turnout in the Southern states and Hillary wins.
She does well with Conservo Dems, not well at all with Progressives and no crossover appeal.
Bernie will do this. He's amazing.

(2,807 posts)Quite average. Democratic turnout is still pretty low. So that would suggest that the crowds aren't really all that big and the "movement" isn't really moving that many people.
Want to know why?
sabrina 1
(62,325 posts)Want to know why? Because the Political Movement is real and it will only continue to grow. There are now 193 'Bernie Democrats' running for Public Office on Bernie's platform.
For a beginning movement it may be breaking records.
