Bernie was asked about that and gave a very good response that clearly addresses the reasons he should stay in the race.
Question & Answer at 8:17
Short version: people called his run hopeless from day one and he's made this much progress, so why stop now? Besides, many states still need to vote. He is clearly giving voice to quite a few voters, and his run continues to amplify that voice.
He also went on to discuss the vital importance of raising voter turnout and a 50-state strategy.
None of our candidates are bad guys.

(11,649 posts)he should stay in the race. originally i supported him. he's got a good message which i think will change the way people think about things.
unfortunately i've been blocked from his group -- not because i trashed him, but some of his supporters didn't like what i said to them.

(2,550 posts)I just think it's disingenuous to continue asking money for his primary race and telling people he could win.
I also think it's wrong to tear at Clinton, but I think he's toned it down this week, so I personally don't think that's a problem right now. If he has, us Hillary supporters shouldn't attack his character either.
I would like to see him push more down ticket Democrats. We really need to take back local offices.
I think Sanders is an OK guy, but I do get a sick feeling in my stomach when people continue to donate money and think he is on a path to the nomination. It makes me feel icky.

(10,751 posts)...I've been happy so far with how he has chosen to spend his campaign $$$, and I continue to approve.
I feel icky when I see Clinton hob-nobbing with Lloyd Blankfein and his ilk, and then hear of her pleas to people "C'mon, just give us $1! It'll pump up our small donor numbers!!" (okay she never actually says that last part but that is the reason she says the first part).
To each his own, I guess.

(2,510 posts)to contribute money to a neoconservative war pig like Hillary Clinton, and vote for her.
If Hillary and her foreign policy are acceptable, maybe they should have just joined the Republicans and voted for Jeb Bush.

(2,510 posts)That being the case, it is obviously intended only to brow-beat Bernie supporters and "spike the football", as it doesn't change any minds. Bernie supporters are more likely to dig in their heels, and go and contribute more money to Bernie after reading shit like this.
Keep up the 'good work', Hillary neocons!

(2,331 posts)It's seriously annoying. The Bernie Sanders supporters I know in real life send out at least 5 a day and well...we get it. You like Bernie Sanders.
