The second most damning meme from the secret tape is that Romney plans to do nothing for the economy

And since the economy is driving this election, then this meme should be spread near and far. Here is his exact quote (which of course puts forth the ridiculous idea that just the news of Romney's election will fix the economy):

"But my own view is that if we-- if-- if-- if we win on November 6th there will be-- a great deal of optimism about the future of this country. And we'll see capital come back and we'll see-- without-- without actually doing anything, we'll (CHUCKLES) actually get a boost in the economy."

So in effect, what he plans to do is to take credit for the recovery that President Obama helped engineer.

I don't see how people can't see this. If anything he plans to turn the upswing around so he can finish his vulturization of it.

The CBO predicted a recovering economy would create 12M jobs if nothing else is done, no matter who is president. IOW, willard isn't going to lift a finger on job creation.

I cannot believe that either Romney or Obama wants to hurt the American people.

They are both trying to help, they just have different strategies

I cannot wrap my head around that some people think any President can be just evil

who wasn't evil, just an opportunist who achieved power by tricking and taking advantage of the citizens of Oz, pretending to be someone he wasn't, and caused a lot of trouble for Dorothy and friends, before he accidentally helped some of them in the end.

the Wizard of Oz. Despite his being a fraud, the Wizard never outsourced jobs from Oz. If anything, he created public works programs to build the Emerald City.

As an Ozophile from the moment I began to read, I take umbrage at comparing Romney to the Wizard in any way.

IMO, Romney is a poster boy for the "banality of evil."

but sending Dorothy and friends to kill the Wicked Witch of the West, which the wizard apparently considered a mission they wouldn't survive, was not nice at all. OTOH, after the wizard is stripped of his fraudulent identity, he becomes nicer.

wise enough even as a fraud to recognize that Dorothy had strengths that he didn't. After all, he was all alone in a strange land. Rmoney is just strange - downright weird, as a matter of fact.

Dorothy had friends who loved her for what she was and who had her back!

That's what we have to do for President Obama!

Hope that you enjoyed the Oz books as much as I did, btw! I hooked whole generations on them because I read them to anyone that I babysat as well as to my own children. Now I'm working on the "grands."

I loved them. L Frank Baum had a wonderful imagination and a deep understanding of human nature. My daughter loves the Oz books too, though she's on to more contemporary stories these days, like Percy Jackson.

Where is that wealth going to come from, except off the backs of the middle class? The poor already have nothing. Perhaps evil is too strong a term... how about greedy?
