The purpose of releasing tax returns is to be transparent regarding conflicts of interest

Last edited Mon Apr 4, 2016, 02:37 PM - Edit history (1)

I kind of notice lately that the Hillary supporting Brock-acolytes are all of a sudden whining about having Sanders release his tax returns.

I agree, he should release them. Full stop.

But the real underlying issue and purpose of releasing such information is to provide transparency regarding conflicts of interest.

What surprises me is how the Brock-acolytes haven't seemed to be concerned about the candidate with the most conflicts of interest in the race by a long mile in either party, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

How many hundreds of millions have she and her husband received from corporate interests and despot dictatorship foreign governments over the past 15 years? I can't even count.

Greenpeace's concerns aside, the amount of dirty money directed toward the Clintons in the last 15 years or more is atrocious. It's not just oil money.

Clinton Cash anyone?

But they don't seem to care about that...

Inconsistent much?

Yes Bernie, please release all your tax returns and then let's see if Clinton ever reveals the full scope of her skullduggery and conflicts of interest. Let's start with the paid speeches.

Let's see if the "outrage du jour" orchestrasted by David Brock and repeated by his acolytes throughout the net was real concern for transparency or just another one of their stupid games.

Hey--he's already blamed Jane for any shit that is on those returns....she's already got financial problems and a shitty reputation for shady deals with banks, so he's pre-emptively thrown her under the bus:

I used to work for the government TOO--I never made as much as Bernie did, though. But even as a percentage of income, I can't imagine the equivalent of his fifty six thousand dollars in deductions. I think we want to see that, and I think Bernie had better get off his best intentions and make "Jane" FIND TIME to do what most candidates do.

Right? I mean, here's this guy who doesn't make that much (compared to most of the Washington elite), and yet gives so much of it away.

Because that's who he is.

You sure that money is given away?

I think you're going to be surprised when he's finally squeezed into revealing his financials.

Hillary should release her transcripts. Then, we'd really see about conflicts of interests. If people knew what she promised Wall Street, her campaign would end tonight.

If they showed her in a good light, she would have released them on Day One.
