2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI've seen posts in the last
hour that equate Bernie Sander as a man with gun violence as his platform. If this is "taking the gloves off" then I suggest that despite the gloves, Secretary Clinton's fingerprints are all over this awful tactic.
Behind nearly every bad policy decision our country has made in the last 20 years, you can find a video of Bernie advocating *against* it.

(21,210 posts)on the other hand there are several videos of Clinton changing positions and then admitting her judgement was wrong.

(24,721 posts)She has zero charisma & she's not likable. That's why she has to lie in order to gain an edge.
If her lies-to-win strategy doesn't bother her supporters, that's their problem. I have to be proud of my candidate.

(36,392 posts)have been dying to find someting to distract from her corruption and far right policies. Looks like they are going to run with this. I wonder if they think that having the daughter of a Sandy Hook victim use her mother's murder as a campaign stunt will win them votes. More likely it will make Mrs. Clinton even more repulsive

(39,961 posts)I am interested to see who she blames this time. She threw everybody under the bus within reach when she lost irrevocably in 2008, and she clung with even her toenails.
Still, it wasn't her fault, it was everybody else's fault.
If that many people dislike you, maybe they are on to something.

(10,164 posts)Camp Weathervane has no shame, no honor, no credibility. They wanted, as evidenced by their smug, condescending approach from the get-go, a scorched earth situation. Well...they got it.
Not Hillary. Not now. Not in November. Not ever.

(534 posts)and even people who vote their conscience 100 percent of the time, can sometimes respectfully disagree on what is correct. That is the beauty of our system.
I agree with Bernie maybe 97 percent, from what I've read. But my trust for him and for his judgment is exponential in comparison to how far I would trust Hillary to represent anyone other than herself and the One-percenters.
I wish I had saved some of the funnies from 2008 when Obama referred to her as "Annie Oakley," since she suddenly cared "so much" about gun-rights back then. She really does seem to be running on this one issue--or that was the impression I got after the last debate I saw--and it's a big flip-flop from her pro-guns stance that she took, back in 2008.
