And he said that he thought Israel had used disproportionate force in Gaza and up to 2000 people had been killed.

This would have been a strong statement for any Democratic candidate to make but it was extraordinary coming from the candidate that could be the first Jewish president.

Bernie did not pander to the Jewish vote, as do most Democrats and Republicans running for office. I thought that was a fresh perspective.
